We set this up in the dark with now problems. It was nice and comfortable in 40 degree weather with my 85lb dog in it as well. I will be using this on bike trips in the future.

Also, the fact that I can set up the Solo Shelter with the canopy down makes it super easy to get in and out. No more crouching down or hunching over to enter or exit. I keep the canopy down, plop my stuff inside, lay in the sleeping bag, and pull the canopy up over me. Couldn't be easier or more convenient.
While camping with the Solo Shelter, it started to rain in the middle of the night. It took me exactly 5 seconds to go from unobstructed stargazing to total weather protection. Just two quick snaps and the Storm Shelter was up, and I went right back to sleep. Read Less
